Inspiration

As a meditation instructor I was frustrated With the one size fits all approach to meditation, you either go to a class and get what's delivered, assuming that everyone's having the same problem, or you listen to an app... randomly picking from a menu of meditations. Luckily, my technology background allowed for me to solve this problem. However, until now, the desire, and let's face it, ability, to design a beautiful UI wasn't there for me.

What it does

Inner Architect Method, IAM for short, solves for both of these problems by providing you with an interview with IAM that really gets to the root of what is going on in the user's life. It gathers some key information and then generates a meditation and reads it in my voice using Eleven Labs cloning technology.

How I built it

Using BoltNotNew, of course, as well as OpenAI to perform the interview, Claude to generate the meditation... ElevenLabs to record in my voice, and Cloudflare R2 to host the files. All this is glued together, of course, by Supabase.

Challenges I ran into

Apparently, my account on Bolt.new was involved in some kind of fraud, so I lost a couple of days and a ton of creadits to that. Also, there were multiple instances of me having to pop out into my local development environment, and using Claude code, I was able to overcome some challenges around Expo version and other minutiae that were really holding me up in Bolt.new.

Accomplishments that I'm proud of

I'm really just proud I did it. I had had this idea for a while and wasn't going to move forward on it until a tool like Bolt.new came into being.

What I learned

I learned how to work with a lot of new APIs... in a very short frame of time, and it was quite daunting once I got in there. I also learned a new way of writing very explicit documentation, even more explicit than I had previously written in my corporate jobs.

What's next for Inner Architect Method

I would like to monetize this, obviously. Also, potentially a web app in the works.
