Inspiration
Always been a big anime/manga fan so this was a no brainer. The storyboard code was written back in 2020 for an abandoned app. I was going through my old projects and decided to revive the code with a twist.
What it does
The app is an AI enabled manga / comic / anime story maker. Users can assemble photos from their photo library into comic layouts.
How we built it
Built with objective-c, xcode, node.js, redis, aws
Challenges we ran into
The user interface was tricky to get right.
Accomplishments that we're proud of
Ive never shipped an app in objective-c, only react-native. I am proud to revive the old code and actually ship in a more difficult language.
What we learned
That leveraging AI is a huge time saver and should be utilized to its fullest when your in a crunch. And that you should always strive to be like nature, and never waste a single thing.
What's next for Inksnap
We hope that the community will create some engaging stories. And we can add more AI conversion options when the models become available.
