Immersive Tattoo Training Simulator for Meta Quest (Powered by MX Ink)

This project is a realistic tattoo artist simulator built for Meta Quest using Logitech MX Ink. The application works in both fully immersive VR and mixed reality (MR). Users can choose to enter a virtual tattoo studio or place the experience directly into their real environment, where a virtual design notebook and 3D human model appear in their space.

The experience follows the full tattoo workflow. In Design Mode, users sketch original tattoos inside a virtual notebook using MX Ink, adjust details, select colors, and finalize their artwork. Once completed, the design can be placed on specific areas of the 3D model’s body, with full control over positioning and scale.

With a single button press, MX Ink switches to Tattoo Mode, transforming the tool into a virtual tattoo machine. The simulator models line depth, pressure sensitivity, stroke smoothness, ink flow, and hand stability. Mistakes such as shaky lines, uneven pressure, or overworking areas are reflected visually in real time.

An integrated AI system analyzes performance during the session, providing instant feedback on line consistency, pressure control, speed, symmetry, and edge cleanliness. After completion, users receive a detailed performance report with a skill score and personalized improvement suggestions.

Additional features include multiple needle types (liner and shader), adjustable skin tones, full color palette selection, guided tracing exercises for beginners, free practice mode, and progressive difficulty levels.

The result is a complete, skill-focused tattoo training environment that combines realistic simulation, AI-driven coaching, and advanced mixed reality interaction.
