Inspiration
My inspiration was mostly the boring tutorial questions and increasingly stale quizzes. And i wanted to try something different Something more lively then infrastructure monitoring projects ( Yes check my github out lol it’s basic but still ) i needed a small change and that change was Inkborn , interesting definitely fun to build and i enjoyed the process of building it
What it does
Inkborn is quiz based game which allows player to learn things in a new and different manner rather then the same old ways It has a hint of uniqueness and a catchy tag line “monster made by your mistakes” Which applies that you drew the monster Whom you would contain by solving the questions A healthy competition with your own self.
How we built it
TypeScript, React, Vite, PixiJS and Three.js. help from ai in understanding how does the hosting works in ViTE
Challenges we ran into
Honestly it was very smooth except of learning how to make small animations which the judges might see in the video Those were the real ones
Accomplishments that we're proud of
That I made something different and unique from my comfort zone ( devops related tools , i started building one early this year from scratch )
What we learned
learning to create and refine game animations, understanding how Vite builds a frontend for deployment on Netlify, and discovering how different creative development feels compared to my usual infra projects
What's next for INKBORN
Maybe testing among my peers or actual wider group of students would be fun
