Ingredient/Drug Interactions

This project aims to simplify the process of knowing what is in your food. OCR scans your food's ingredients to inform you of possible allergens and drug interactions.

What it does

Our project uses OCR to check for drug interactions, allergens, and simplifies ingredient names for user safety.

How we built it

We used python and drug interaction APIs to compare a user's medicine and allergy profile to the ingredients in the label they uploaded. Then GPT3 generates text explaining the problems associated with specific interactions.

Implementing php into the site for user input

Successfully combining multiple APIs to provide a comprehensive understanding of how a product will interact with your allergies and medicines

What's next for Ingredient/Drug Interactions

Providing a user interface, speeding up the processing time, label history with data storage
