Inspiration

This project was inspired by the complexity and cost of installing surveillance cameras. It aims to provide easy, language-friendly guides so users can install them on their own, anytime they choose.

What it does

The Ingent is available anytime—at the click of a link or through a quick voice command—to help customers track orders, install new cameras, or raise installation-related cases.

How we built it

The Ingent is built using Salesforce technologies such as Agentforce, Flows, Datacloud, and Experience Cloud, along with Google Dialogflow.

Challenges we ran into

The primary challenges we faced involved providing clear guardrails around various topics and their respective instructions to manage the project scope. Agents are unable to respond with the images. Training Ingent from external videos. Integrating voice functionality with Ingent took considerable time, and we were unable to complete it in this version.

Accomplishments that we're proud of

Make an agent available to customers through Experience Cloud. The agent can be rapidly trained using various product manuals. The agent comes with built-in AI capabilities for intelligent response generation.

What we learned

We gained valuable insights into Agentforce and its implementation for real-world use cases. Its topics and instructions are easy to follow, simplifying AI adoption by presenting guidance in plain English. This project boosted our team’s confidence and prepared us to take on larger Salesforce use cases that require AI support.

What's next for Ingent

We aim to elevate the Agent to the next level—enabling full voice interaction, secure authentication, and delivering a highly personalized support experience for any camera system installation. Ingent has the potential to integrate with Salesforce Field Service, managing service appointments and assisting both technicians and customers seamlessly. The topics and instructions developed for this project are uniquely tailored for installation and Field Service use cases, and we plan to publish them for the broader Salesforce community to reference and reuse.
