The Idea: What inspired you to build it?

Monitoring multi-cloud infrastructure is usually a chaotic experience involving disjointed dashboards, dry spreadsheets, and delayed alerts. I wanted to transform how DevOps and Site Reliability Engineering (SRE) teams visualize global cloud health. The inspiration was to build a unified, highly visual command center that makes infrastructure monitoring intuitive, beautiful, and interactive, replacing boring tables with a glowing 3D globe.

How It Works: Explain the functionality and overall solution

InfraPulse aggregates cloud region health data and maps it onto an interactive 3D WebGL globe. Users can drag, spin, and zoom the Earth to explore 42 cloud data centers globally. When a region experiences an outage, its beacon turns red on the globe and floats to the top of the region selector list. Users can click on any region to view real-time latency, throughput, error rates, and 30-day uptime metrics.

Main Features: Highlight what makes your project stand out

  • Interactive 3D Globe: A stunning visual representation of AWS, Azure, GCP, OCI, and DigitalOcean data centers.
  • Failover Simulation: Calculates and draws optimal backup routing paths across the globe during simulated outages.
  • AI Incident Summaries: Built-in AI generation that analyzes region statuses to generate instant insights and cross-region comparisons.
  • Interactive Guided Tour: An automated step-by-step onboarding experience built directly into the dashboard that drives the app's state to teach users how it works.
  • Demo Mode: A presentation toggle that simulates global outages across different providers for testing and demonstration purposes.

Technology Stack: List the languages, frameworks, APIs, or tools you used

  • Frontend: Next.js (App Router), React, TypeScript, and Tailwind CSS for the glassmorphism UI.
  • 3D Rendering: Three.js and react-globe.gl to render the interactive Earth, complete with a procedurally generated starfield.
  • Backend: Next.js Route Handlers to simulate and aggregate multi-cloud telemetry data.
  • Deployment: Deployed globally on Vercel.

Intended Audience: Who is your project designed for?

InfraPulse is designed for DevOps Engineers, Site Reliability Engineers (SREs), and Cloud Architects who manage infrastructure across multiple cloud providers. It is also an excellent tool for IT executives and stakeholders who need a high-level, easy-to-understand visual overview of their global cloud footprint and system health.
