Inspiration
During the Covid-19 Pandemic, there has been a lot of misinformation. We wanted to create a website that could measure the validity of a source.
What it does
Users copy and paste the URL of a source into the text area. Then the program runs and tells the user if their source is valid or not. There is also a contact page for any questions the users might have.
How we built it
We used the format of an HTML page embedded with javascript. The javascript is what measure the validity of the source.
Challenges we ran into
We originally tried to use python, but it didn't work.
Accomplishments that we're proud of
We were able to design a website that successfully measures the validity of an online source.
What we learned
We can use "GET" to send information from page to page.
What's next for InfoCheck
We can work to develop the program and make it more detailed at determining the validity of sources.
