Inspiration

The Beach theme of the MLH Surfs Up Hack really got us into thinking, that how we can implement an app that can showcase nature and the natural beauty around the beaches and which fulfills your's curiosity to know about these things and our's to work with different technologies.

What it does

This app tells us about the various creatures and things that fascinate us around the beach. It consists of four different UI screens:

A refreshing UI welcome screen with real-time animation.
The main screen of the app consisting of various categories that you have a look into
Clicking in any of these categories will take you to a whole new card section which gives detailed information about the same.
And last is the Info page which shows some information about developers.

Challenges we ran into

Figuring out how to make the app dynamic was a challenging task.
Having compatibility issues with flutter.
As it was our first hackathon experience, we didn't know how to divide and work together.
At the very last moment, the video recorder stopped working, which caused a little panic.

Accomplishments that we're proud of

We managed to build this app within 12 hours even with beginners' experience.
Helped us to escape from the tutorial cycle.
Learned how to manage virtually collaboration effectively.
Used version control locally.

What we learned

How to implement things we learn from tutorials.
How to bring an idea from inception to execution.
To link pages, use list, and card view and making the app more user-friendly.
Despite being connected virtually, managing the idea, and motivating the team to get our task done.
