What it does

Influme uses AI to analyze UGC Portfolios making it easier for brands and agencies to discover new creators

How I built it

I built Influme over the last year on nights and weekends. Before I started, I didn't know anything about the stack I chose but I wanted to learn more. I first started learning with YouTube tutorials and once I got comfortable I started just looking at documentation. It has been such a good learning experience and I really feel comfortable with the tech stack now.

Challenges I ran into

Most of the challenges I faced were around scalability. I tend to work very fast and hacky, so when I have to revisit the codebase it gets very difficult to work on it again. This involved a lot of refactoring which slowed me down in the long run.

Accomplishments that I'm proud of

I'm definitely proud of just getting the product up and running in the first place. The fact that I've created a full-stack SAAS is a proud achievement for me and I'm excited for the future.

What I learned

I learned a lot about Next.js, Firebase and Tailwind. More importantly I learnt how difficult it is to start a software company. When you build something in the back of your head you think people will just come and use it but no, marketing it very important.

What's next for Influme

Marketing. Now that the product is ready, I need to get it out there. I'm going to try every marketing channel possible and see what happens!
