I was inspired to make cybersecurity education more interactive and relatable. I created Influencer Secure to help users recognize threats that creators face, such as phishing, fake accounts, suspicious logins, unsafe links, and location sharing. I also created Ranpro to show how businesses can prepare for ransomware and respond under pressure.
The project includes two interactive simulations. Influencer Secure lets players read security alerts and choose the correct action to protect a creator’s account. Ranpro lets players manage a budget, invest in defenses, respond to ransomware incidents, and protect business continuity.
I built everything using HTML, CSS, vanilla JavaScript, and JSON. I created systems for threats, timers, scoring, budgets, defense levels, incidents, and feedback. One challenge was explaining serious cybersecurity topics in a simple but realistic way. I also had to balance the difficulty, timing, scoring, and responsive layouts.
I am proud that I created two different games that teach practical cybersecurity skills through realistic decisions and consequences. I learned that people understand security better when they can make decisions and immediately see the results. I also learned that cybersecurity requires multiple layers, including training, MFA, monitoring, firewalls, endpoint protection, incident response, and backups.
Next, I would add more scenarios, difficulty levels, progress tracking, analytics, multiplayer crisis decisions, and more business types for Ranpro.
