Lack of reliable tools that help consumers visualize and better understand how inflation impacts their finances from investment decisions to loans.

What it does

Sunflation Insights is a user-friendly interface that focuses on financial literacy for consumers specifically regarding inflation by incorporating education and an inflation calculator that allows consumers to complete scenario analysis to better understand how inflation impacts their finances. The inflation calculator provides a graphical representation and charts to visualize the impacts of inflation. The education component and personalized product recommendations based on the consumer inputs into the calculator help the consumer understand how they can combat inflation using Sun Life Products such as investments.

How we built it

We built examples of our project using Figma. We built our calculator using JavaScript, React, HTML, and CSS.

Challenges we ran into

We ran into time-based challenges. We had many ideas of what we wanted to include but due to lack of consumer data, the amount of time we had to work and our presentation time. We were creatively limited.

Accomplishments that we're proud of

Our ability to overcome challenges mainly when it came to designing the calculator. Using Figma to help create our vision.
