Inspiration
The stock market is a volatile sector affected by sophisticated analytical methods, we seek to identify patterns, observable trends, and significant correlations that point investors toward automotive industry stocks with significant day trading profit potential. We aim to simplify trading by giving accurate predictions of stock prices.
What it does
Currently, we have created the page for the automobile sector. We are focusing on day trading. We gather data from a website called “Stock Analysis”. We compare the net P/L% change of the companies and extract the companies that give the highest profit percentage. For day trading, the percentage of profit is the most important factor as the user is not concerned how the company performs over a long period of time.
How we built it
We used python for web scraping for our backend code. For our frontend, we used HTML, CSS, and JavaScript. We incorporated JavaScript to create graphs for stocks.
Challenges we ran into
We were facing problems linking our backend and frontend.
Accomplishments that we're proud of
We gained a greater insight into JavaScript, CSS, and HTML. We learned used new concepts while creating our website.
What we learned
We learned to make more sophisticated CSS styling. We also learned how to plot charts and make graphs and charts using JavaScript. In addition, we learned about web scraping to extract data from the internet.
What's next for Infiniti Analyticals - Real Life Stock Market Analysis
Currently, we have created the page for the automobile sector. We are focusing on day trading. However, we envision to expand this to incorporate multiple sectors such as tech, finance, energy, fashion etc. for greater accessibility. In addition, we would connect to an LLM to analyse news articles from trusted sources, interpret laws, regulations, and political agendas and display the probability of a stock to perform well in the future.
