Inspiration
The inspiration behind Infinite Escape stemmed from our love for endless runner games and our desire to create an immersive and challenging experience for players worldwide. We aimed to blend classic gameplay mechanics with modern features, ensuring endless hours of fun and excitement.
What it does
Infinite Escape puts players in control of a character on an endless journey through dynamically generated environments. The goal is simple: survive as long as possible while collecting stars and dodging or jumping on enemies. With each passing moment, the game becomes more intense, pushing players to their limits and testing their reflexes and strategic thinking.
How we built it
We built Infinite Escape using Flutter for the user interface and the Flame game engine for game development. Leveraging Flutter's cross-platform capabilities, we ensured that the game runs smoothly on both Android and iOS devices. Flame provided us with the tools to create fluid animations, responsive controls, and dynamic environments, allowing us to bring our vision to life with precision and efficiency.
Challenges we ran into
During development, we faced various challenges, including optimizing performance for mobile devices, fine-tuning the game's physics and collision detection, and integrating complex animations seamlessly. Additionally, mastering the intricacies of Flame and Flutter required dedicated effort and experimentation, but overcoming these obstacles strengthened our skills and deepened our understanding of game development.
