Inspiration

We were inspired by the new advancements with AI and how quick it has all gotten. Using this advancement we decided to create a generative newsletter that simply feels endless because it can always generate more information on the fly without making you wait a long time.

What it does

Infinifolio turns a user’s portfolio into an interactive financial newsletter tailored to what they actually own.

Instead of making investors search through filings, market data, and news on their own, Infinifolio brings relevant information together and uses generative AI to explain what may matter. Readers can explore sections about their portfolio, individual companies, market trends, risks, and other insights.

Infinifolio isn’t meant to replace financial research. It helps investors discover what to look into next and makes that process faster, more engaging, and easier to understand.

How we built it

We built Infinifolio around a pipeline that collects financial information, processes it, and turns it into dynamically generated newsletter content. Our data aggregation layer gathers and organizes the information needed to understand the user's investments. We then pass relevant context into our AI generation system, which creates personalized content for the newsletter. On the frontend, we designed the experience around modular, dynamically generated sections rather than a traditional static report. This allows the newsletter to continuously expand as users explore different parts of their portfolio. One of the most interesting parts of the project was experimenting with newer AI techniques such as JEV and JSON Render, allowing generated information to become structured, interactive UI rather than simply returning blocks of AI-generated text.

What we learned

This project taught us that building useful AI products requires much more than connecting an application to an LLM. The quality of the experience depends heavily on how data is collected, structured, passed into the model, and ultimately presented to the user. We also learned a lot about generative UI and how structured AI outputs can create experiences that feel much more dynamic than traditional chat interfaces. On the financial side, we gained a better understanding of how portfolio data, company filings, market information, and other sources can work together to tell a much more useful story about an investment.
