Inspiration: My and my team were inspired after seeing how much COVID has made an influence on our lives. Although we are beginners, we wanted to create something that fulfilled our ideas.
What it does: The Infection Finder isn't much, but it shows the symptoms of what is similar to COVID and COVID itself. Other infections include, the Influenza and the Common Cold. Between these 3 infections, the website differentiates the symptoms for each. It also allows users to view where they can be tested for COVID if they feel like they have it.
How we built it: HTML and CSS.
Challenges we ran into: Everyone in our team was a beginner that knew nothing about HTML nor CSS. Starting and learning from scratch was definitely a challenge we had to face and accomplish.
Accomplishments that we're proud of: We were very proud to have go from having no knowledge whatsoever to finishing a website that looks somewhat tolerable.
What we learned: Me and my team learned the basics of HTML and CSS along the way, all while having fun.
What's next for Infection Finder: This is just the roots of what we hope to make for the future. We want to add many other features such as a data graph, behaviors, and more information on how to stay safe from this pandemic.
