Inspiration
There are several potential sources of inspiration for an indoor mapping system:
Navigation: Indoor mapping systems can be inspired by outdoor navigation systems such as Google Maps or Waze. These systems provide turn-by-turn directions and real-time traffic updates, which could be adapted for indoor use.
Retail: Retail stores often have maps available for customers to find their way around the store. These maps can serve as inspiration for an indoor mapping system that is designed for large, multi-level buildings.
Museums: Museums often have indoor maps that provide visitors with information about the exhibits and the layout of the building. These maps can serve as inspiration for an indoor mapping system that is designed to help visitors navigate large, complex buildings.
Gaming: Indoor mapping systems can be inspired by video games that involve exploration of complex indoor environments. Games such as Portal or Half-Life could serve as inspiration for an indoor mapping system that allows users to navigate and explore indoor environments.
Emergency Services: Emergency services such as firefighters and paramedics need to navigate complex indoor environments in order to reach people in need. Indoor mapping systems can be inspired by the tools and techniques used by these professionals to navigate indoor environments during emergency situations.
What it does
Indoor mapping systems without GPS refers to create accurate maps of indoor spaces. These maps can be used for navigation, location-based services, facility management, and emergency response. However, creating accurate indoor maps without GPS technology presents several challenges, including the need for alternative data sources and the potential for inaccuracies
How we built it
we had done use of routing algorithm to show the shortest path to user which will be shown on web application
Challenges we ran into
The main challenge we face is for the Routing algorithm to show the shortest path
Accomplishments that we're proud of
build the project from scratch
What we learned
learned various languages and project development cycle
What's next for Indoor Mapping System
to create mapping system for complex structures
