How we built it
This project was created as an experimental spec ad for Indomie, designed in the unique, over-the-top Japanese commercial style — fun, fast-paced, and visually exaggerated. The entire video was generated using Sora 2 Pro on OpenArt, with only one text prompt and a single reference image of the Indomie product. Since Sora currently doesn’t support photorealistic human generation, the focus was placed on the product itself — its textures, lighting, and the energetic rhythm typical of Japanese TV ads. After the base clip was generated, I performed a light touch-up on several key frames to refine color tones and enhance continuity without altering the original sequence structure. I then replaced the background music with a more dynamic, upbeat track, and added sound effects to emphasize timing and movement in the cuts. Finally, the video was upscaled using Topaz Labs for higher clarity and resolution, and the final edit and sequence adjustments were done in CapCut. The result is a short, high-energy commercial that captures the essence of Japanese ad aesthetics — playful, intense, and irresistibly appetizing.
