Inspiration

I am a blogger. I own several blogs. In past I have used WordPress for blogging but recently I am moving my blog to Astro using markdown and content collection for blogging. WordPress has plugin that notify search engine with newly published content but same is not true for blog based on Astro. I built this app to help my Astro and reachJs based blogs to get index in search engine faster.

What it does

User can generate IndexNow.org API key. Enter sitemap.xml URL and app automatically detect all the URLs from the sitemap. Then user can select individual page URL or up to 100 URLs at once. After that user that to enter API key and submit the URL to get it index in search engine line Bing.com, Yandex.com and several search engines.

How we built it

I built it using Bolt.new. App uses TypeScript, ReactJS and Vite framework.

Challenges we ran into

I had to use Github to deploy my app to Netlify because Netlify Function doesn't get deployed directly through Bolt.new Netlify integration.

Accomplishments that we're proud of

App works well, first I run into CROS security issue but I used Netlify Function to make the app work smoothly.

What we learned

I learned Github repository, based of NodeJs app, and VScode.

What's next for IndexNow Submitter

I am working on getting Firebase Database and auth integration so I can monetize the app by offering premium service.
