Inspiration

IndentOS was driven by a simple observation: people have goals, intentions, and plans, but they struggle to convert them into consistent daily action. Existing tools track tasks; very few help users think clearly about why they are doing something and how to stay aligned over time. IndentOS was created to bridge intention and execution using AI.

What it does

IndentOS is a web-based AI productivity platform where users chat with an AI agent to clarify their intentions. The agent understands user input, breaks goals into structured workflows, and helps users stay consistent and focused over time instead of just generating one-off answers.

How we built it

The platform is built using a modern web stack with Next.js for the frontend, Supabase for authentication and data storage, and Tambo to power the AI agent. The architecture centers around conversational state, allowing the AI to adapt workflows based on user context and ongoing interactions.

Challenges we ran into

Designing meaningful AI-driven workflows was more challenging than generating responses. Ensuring conversations stayed goal-oriented, managing state across sessions, and balancing flexibility with structure required multiple iterations and architectural refinements.

Accomplishments that we're proud of

We successfully built an AI system that goes beyond chat and actively helps users organize their thinking into actionable plans. The integration of conversational AI with productivity workflows resulted in a focused, intuitive experience rather than a generic chatbot.

What we learned

We learned that productivity is less about features and more about clarity. AI is most effective when it helps users reflect, prioritize, and commit, rather than overwhelming them with suggestions. Thoughtful system design matters more than raw model capability.

What's next for IndentOS

Next, IndentOS will expand its workflow intelligence, improve long-term context handling, and introduce deeper progress tracking so users can see how their intentions evolve into measurable outcomes over time.
