What it does ⚙️

We do Dynamic Coupon Generation and Frictionless Order Management. With our solution, users do not have to go through structured forms that need a lot of clicking and time ⏳️. Instead, you can simply copy-paste your Menu/Catalog and start taking orders through voice 📞. We take care of structuring your responses, matching it with the correct items in your existing catalog of items, generating appropriate coupons that would incentivize the customer to come shop again 💱 and enable you to send emails 📧 regarding the same with just 1 voice command of yours.

How we built it 🛠️

Built using Square APIs - Orders, Invoices and Catalog mainly apart from Google Vertex Chat Bison Model and Open source Image generation model called ControlNet.

First, the Seller is expected to enter Catalog Details in the 'Essential Business Info' Page. Unlike other applications or the dashboard, you can enter this information in plain English and have details related to a particular item exist in different places of the entry; we take care of structuring it for you, talking to Google Vertex AI for generating the appropriate payload dynamically that will then be sent to Square through the Square Catalog API.

Next, in the 'Place Order' page, you simply have to enter customer email and click the button to give your order with your voice. Here, your voice is converted into an English sentence and then we use the power of the Square Catalog API and Orders API along with Google Vertex Chat Bison model to determine ordered items along with their variations, get their price, check if any existing eligible coupon can be applied and finally place the order.

After placing the order, based on items ordered by the customer, we generate a suitable Coupon on-the-fly for you the seller and return it is a special QR code. What is special about this QR code is that it looks like one of the items you ordered by can actually be scanned to claim a sweet coupon! 🎁We do this magic using the Vertex AI chat model 💬 and an open source text-to-image called ControlNet.

Finally, the seller can head to the 'Coupons' page of the web application. Here, the relevant Invoice will be generated using which the customer can pay for their order. We provide an email template and the coupon generated in the previous step and preview it for you. You can make the necessary changes and instantly send it to your customer!⚡️

Our team is very happy that we could implement our initial vision and successfully integrate powerful technologies like Square APIs and Google Vertex Chat Bison Model for creating this working web application that any Square seller can use and benefit from.

What's next for Inco 🔮

  • We could further simplify, automate the order placement process by connecting the "Place Order" page to voice calls.
  • Gamify Coupons : An exciting next step could be to create a limited set of coupons and encourage customers to collect them all! This would create a win-win situation for both the customers and the sellers in terms of repeat purchases driving sales for sellers and coupons discounting the prices for customers.

Participating in this Hackathon was a fruitful experience for our team thanks to the ample help and resources provided. The Square Documentation is very clear and the API explorer is excellent, making it easy to test different APIs, understand the requirements of input parameters for each API and plan how it will integrate in the application.
