Inspiration## Inspiration
Production incidents can take a lot of time to diagnose because engineers often need to search through old incidents, logs, fixes, and post-mortems.
This inspired us to build OpsMemory AI, an AI Incident Response Agent that remembers previous production incidents and uses that knowledge to help diagnose new incidents faster.
How we built it
We built an AI-powered workflow that analyzes a new incident, retrieves relevant historical incidents, identifies possible root causes, and suggests solutions based on previous fixes and post-mortems.
The system follows:
Incident → Historical Retrieval → Root Cause Analysis → Recommended Fix → Incident Memory
What we learned
We learned that building a useful AI agent requires more than an LLM. Reliable retrieval, structured incident data, relevant context, and grounded responses are essential for accurate incident diagnosis.
Challenges
The main challenges were retrieving the most relevant historical incidents, handling incomplete incident information, reducing hallucinations, and connecting previous root causes with new incident symptoms.
Our goal is to turn every production incident into reusable organizational knowledge.
