Inspiration
Inceptico was born from a deep empathy for early-stage founders — brilliant, driven minds who often fail not because their ideas aren’t good, but because they can’t test their strategies before taking the leap. We wanted to build something that gave these entrepreneurs a safe space to simulate their journey before risking time, money, and energy in the real world. That was our “what if” moment — what if startup founders had a digital twin of their business to rehearse every move before making it?
What it does
Inceptico is a simulation-first startup OS where founders can input their business ideas, simulate growth, face real-world startup scenarios, and evolve, all before launching. It features: Pre-Launch Simulation where founders enter their idea, budget, and target audience. A Launchpad that guides users into Pre-Launch or Post-Launch pathways. A team of AI Agents (finance, marketing, risk, social media, etc.) that chat and assist in natural language. A sentient guide called Eve, who speaks using ElevenLabs and guides you with immersive animations and a living dashboard. A gamified progress system using animated puzzle pieces that unlock each month. Tools like Decision Control to toggle bold startup moves and Innovation Lab to test future product rollouts and pivots. Surprise Event generators that introduce market changes, investor shifts, or new competitor moves to keep simulations realistic.
How we built it
Frontend: Built with Bolt, Next.js, React, and Tailwind CSS for responsive design. Backend: Firebase Firestore for real-time data sync, user state, and task tracking. Voice AI: We used ElevenLabs to give our Hive Mind (Eve) a voice, enabling natural interactions. Deployment: Hosted the full-stack app on Netlify. Gamification & Animation: Used Lottie animations, CSS transitions, and puzzle logic to gamify monthly tasks and milestones. State Management: Managed app state using Zustand for lightweight, scalable context handling.
Challenges we ran into
Building real-time, animated puzzle mechanics that sync with task progress was difficult to structure and debug. Ensuring voice AI responses worked smoothly with Eve’s logic without delays or repetition. Managing conditional routes for Pre-Launch and Post-Launch views while keeping navigation intuitive was tricky. Making the simulation logic feel authentic and strategic, not just random data shuffling.
Accomplishments that we're proud of
We made a truly immersive startup simulator, with a living dashboard and sentient AI that feels like a co-founder. Built an engaging gamified experience that makes business planning feel like a story-driven RPG. Enabled multilingual voice-based AI interaction using ElevenLabs, making it accessible globally. Created a unique user journey through Pre-Launch and Post-Launch worlds — something not seen in typical startup tools.
What we learned
Gamification can turn even complex planning tools into joyful, motivating experiences. Founders don’t just need numbers — they need narratives. Giving life to agents like Eve changed how users relate to the platform. Building with clarity and emotion makes a product stick — not just design, but why it exists.
What's next for Inceptico
Fully launching the Post-Launch Simulation, allowing users to test new product rollouts, navigate complex market shifts, and forecast business growth with greater accuracy. Gamifying the startup journey even further — transforming simulations into an addictive, immersive progression system. Founders will unlock animated puzzle pieces, face surprise events, and compete in PvP-style business battles with other users. Leaderboards, rewards, and unlockable startup “badges” are coming soon. Blockchain-based identity & scoring will allow founders to prove their progress across ecosystems — carrying simulation credibility into real-life accelerators, pitch decks, and investor meetings. Expanding realism via third-party APIs like Tavus (video AI), Supabase (scalable backend), and Algorand (trustless payments), bringing a deeply interconnected and believable startup universe to life.
