Elementary schools waste thousands of sheets of paper a year making fake money to incentivize good behavior. To solve this issue, we made an app to make this process become virtual.
Inspiration - After reminiscing about the past, we realized just how much paper grade schools waste a year making fake money to incentivize students into good behavior. We decided it would be a good idea to take this process and make it virtual.
What it does - This project allows teachers to create multiple classrooms and add students into these classrooms. They can view each student's information to view their account balance, add money for good behavior, or remove money for bad behavior. The student can log into their account to view their account balance and transaction history as well as purchase items.
How we built it - We used html and JavaScript.
Challenges we ran into - Very elementary knowledge in website building. We had to deeply simplify our project into areas easy to create.
Accomplishments that we're proud of - Although our project isn't the best, we're proud that we at least made the effort to create a webpage.
What we learned - We learned basic html and JavaScript skills. We also learned how to adapt and overcome adversity.
What's next for Incentivize - Learn proper html and JavaScript over the summer in order to create a fully functioning website.
