Inspiration
Our inspiration came from our struggles to find a course mate this semester. Despite asking many people, no one around me took the same course. However, when I went for the first lecture, I was pleasantly surprised that many people I know were there as well. Hence, we wanted to make an easy and interesting app that helps you discover people taking the same course with a tindr-like interface.
What it does
Make finding a course mate easy and fun with a tindr liking interface
How we built it
We use react-native with expo, native wind and a firebase database
Challenges we ran into
As most of us were using react-native for the first time, we spent majority of our time watching tutorial and familiarising ourselves with the tech stack. However, we were able to adapt and work seamlessly as a team despite this being our first hackathon together.
Accomplishments that we're proud of
We were able to make a full operating app with authentication, swiping interface and a profile page in the span of 24 hours!
