Inspiration

We were inspired by games such as Dead by Daylight and Keep Talking and Nobody Explodes.

What it does

There are 3 types of players: a hunter, the survivalists, and the controller. The survivors must avoid being caught by the hunter, while completing their required tasks, aided by the controller, who oversees the map, guiding the survivalists to their goal, while trying to keep them safe from the hunter.

How we built it

  • We split the build between the 4 of us.

Challenges we ran into

  • Hardware constraints - we were unable to have a 4 player test due to one of the devices being locked to a different network.
  • Tiredness, due to 24 hours of constant working on the project.

Accomplishments that we're proud of

Managing to create a decently functional game within the time frame, with ambitious ideas in terms of the networking architecture and general features of the game. There were many complex challenges to overcome during the course of the development of this project but we persevered as a team and kept each other going until we completed our goal.

What we learned

We learned a great deal about various APIs, and not to mention collaboration, and delivering products under time pressure.

What's next for In The Chair

We are not sure where we will go next with In The Chair, but we would like to develop it further in future.
