In-Flight Entertainer

Inspiration

The experience of the in-flight journey has come down from pleasurable to boring. One of the reasons is the in-flight entertainment options offered to passengers are outdated, limited and it does not follow the entertainment trends of today. We conducted surveys for users regarding their in-flight experience and they said that the contents that they wished to watch never appeared on their screen. So, we listened to the user's feedback and redesigned the app that solves common complaints related to the in-flight entertainment system.

What it does

Our in-flight entertainment system brings in the newest features and more entertainment options that fulfil passengers' expectations. The features include kids mode which consists of a separate environment curated for the kids, real-time bathroom availability status, personalized content built to suit the passenger's choice, the latest and popular TV shows and movies, a request item button to call flight attendant, and online shopping.

How we built it

We used Figma software to build the presentation deck, design process and prototypes.

Challenges we ran into

It takes a while to get used to Figma software. It takes some effort and time to create quality content. The images that get included in the project have to be thoughtfully chosen.

Accomplishments that we're proud of

We are proud of creating a unique app experience for our users. We have a talented group of individuals who bring their unique expertise when creating projects.

What we learned

We learnt that patience, perseverance, time management and designing skills are required to build a quality project. Rectifying any mistakes that may occur along the way or filling in the gaps is a great learning experience.

What's next for In-Flight Entertainer

In the future, we are looking forward to improving the Wi-Fi connection and adding an NFC pairing feature.
