Improving votes

The idea

I participated on the Devs Unleashed hackathon by Atlassian a month ago. And there was a step, where the participant had to share their project and gather votes for their project. On that specific hackathon I had the most likes (and maybe even the most votes), but I didn't won the price for the "Most Popular Choice". So to improve that I was thinking that:

• the votes should be done only from participants that had an eligible project submitted
• they can vote up to three votes from the project gallery but not their own projects
• this step should be mandatory to complete their submission
• in the end the votes are going to be visible from everyone to make the process as transparent as possible
