๐ About the Project
Inspiration
I wanted to build something that could instantly motivate people whenever they felt distracted, unproductive, or low on energy. My goal was to create a simple platform that delivers motivational and educational content with just one click.
What It Does
The application randomly fetches YouTube videos from different categories, including:
- ๐ฏ Motivation
- ๐ Self-improvement
- ๐ง Learning
- ๐ผ Business
This allows users to quickly discover useful content without spending time searching.
How I Built It
I developed the project using Python and built the backend from scratch.
The project was:
- Coded in Geany IDE
- Developed on Linux
- Tested and debugged locally
- Improved through multiple iterations to fix bugs and enhance stability
Challenges I Faced
Building this project on low-end hardware was my biggest challenge.
System Specifications:
- RAM: 2 GB
- Processor: Intel Pentium
Because of these limitations, I couldn't implement advanced AI features such as understanding a user's situation and recommending personalized videos. I had to optimize the project carefully to make it run smoothly on my machine.
Accomplishments
I'm proud that I successfully completed and hosted this project despite working with limited hardware. It proved that determination matters more than expensive equipment.
What I Learned
During this project, I learned that great ideas don't require powerful computersโthey require persistence, curiosity, and continuous improvement. Building something useful for yourself and others is always worthwhile.
What's Next
Future improvements include:
- Personalized video recommendations
- AI-powered content suggestions
- Category-based feeds
- ๐ฐ Money & Finance
- ๐ฐ News
- ๐ช Motivation
- ๐ Learning
- ๐ผ Business
- User accounts and saved favorites
- Faster video loading and better UI
