Improve Mood - MOOD TRACKER
Inspiration
In our group, we all have a common thing related to the Covid-19 pandemic. For us, we knew a couple of people whose lives were lost. We noticed that their close relatives were deeply hurt. Like such circumstances, COvid-19 must have left lingering issues on the mental health of many people. Thus, we wanted to create an app that helps people find consistently in their moods and allow them to stay positive.
What it does
It helps a person log and track their mood/feelings. It collects the person’s mood and additional notes and makes an entry. Additionally, it shows ways in which the person can improve their mood and stay happy. Its overall purpose is to help people find consistency and help them stay happy.
How we built it
We build it on code.org using JavaScript and the basics of design. link
Challenges we ran into
Coming up with the ideas of how we can spread our message was one of the challenging parts. As we found a solution for that another problem arose. And that's how and what advice can our app give to its users to help them improve their mood. We ended up picking realistic things that would motivate a person and make them feel positive.
Accomplishments that we're proud of
We are proud to demonstrate our idea through coding. It is very cool to spread positivity through the web. Our app will certainly cause an impact on others and make them take the right steps to improve their mental health.
What we learned
We learned the importance of tracking mental health frequently on a journal entry, especially with ongoing conflicts around us. We also learned how to make the app more efficient and user-friendly, providing motivational and practical advice. We also learned how to incorporate the most efficient coping techniques to ensure users feel better and improve their mood completely.
What's next for Improve Mood - MOOD TRACKER
The next step is to improve the app by making it even more user-friendly and effective. With more skills and knowledge, adding more features like customizable reminders to prompt users to log their mood consistently, expanding the range of mood options and visualizing mood trends through graphs or charts will provide a clearer understanding of emotional patterns. Overall it will foster interaction among users and fulfill its purpose. With such additions, our app will be able to help people improve their mood in faster/better ways and their mental wellness.
