Inspiration
We wanted to make an Android app to optimize battery efficiency so that batteries can last longer and reduce e-waste.
What it does
This app notifies the user when the battery is at a dangerous level so they will be able to charge or unplug their phone.
How we built it
We used Android Studio to write the app. The logic was written in Java, and the UI was written in XML.
Challenges we ran into
The Android documentation has a few different ways to get battery data, so it sometimes confused us on which API to use.
Accomplishments that we're proud of
We're proud to have written a fully-functional Android app in just 24 hours. For most of us, it was our first hackathon, so we are also proud to have participated for the first time.
What we learned
We learned how to make a simple Android application in a team.
What's next for Imposters
We may want to add a list of most frequently used apps and what percentage of the battery they have used up.
