[O] Imposter Bot

Inspiration

I always wanted to make a discord version of my favorite game, Mafia. Negotiating with my teammates' obsession with Among Us, we decided to name it Imposter Bot.

What it does

You can create a local game stream inside of your server by typing in commands. All instructions are in README.

How we built it

React for the website (for viewing game history) and Discord.JS for coding the bot. Firebase (Google Cloud) was used to maintain the database.

Challenges we ran into

Async... my worst nemesis. Controlling the sequence of code runs was a challenging part for us.

Accomplishments that we're proud of

The two beginners learned a lot about JavaScript through active tutorials and implementations.

What we learned

How to utilize Github and the newest version of packages such as react-native-dom and discord.js, which went through a lot of changes recently.

What's next for Imposter Bot

More jobs and better UI/UX!
