Import UMD Schedule Into GCal

Inspiration

We wanted to help UMD students save time as they already have a lot of tedious tasks to do.

What it does

Imports UMD Course Schedule from Testudo into Google Calendar with a few clicks.

How we built it

We used the Chrome Extension API and Google Calendar API.

Challenges we ran into

Integrating the frontend with the backend (For example, making the import process begin with the user clicks a button. )

Accomplishments that we're proud of

Being able to parse schedule data from Testudo into a format readable by Google Calendar API.

What we learned

It takes a lot of time and effort to code a working application and there will inevitably be many bugs that will be encountered during the development process.

What's next for Import UMD Schedule Into GCal

We will continue to work on trying to create events with the parsed schedule data from Testudo.
