Inspiration

Impatico is a tech nonprofit building a community-powered platform for ESG accountability. Our mission is to democratize ESG transparency so consumers, workers, investors, and policymakers can make informed decisions and push for responsible business practices.

What it does

We transform complex, inconsistent sustainability data into a clear, accessible ESG report card that shows how companies impact people and the planet.

How we built it

By combining public disclosures, regulatory filings, third-party ratings, and community voice, Impatico makes corporate accountability accessible, comparable, and easy to understand.

Challenges we ran into

ESG data is fragmented across disclosures, agencies, frameworks, and third-party sources — each with its own definitions, metrics, and formats.

Accomplishments that we're proud of

Turning that into a unified, comparable report card required building a structured taxonomy, designing a transparent scoring model, and determining how to incorporate qualitative community insights alongside quantitative indicators.

What we learned

We learned that people and business want ESG transparency — but they don’t want jargon, paywalls, or technical reports. They want simplicity, clarity, and context.
