Inspiration
My inspiration for this project was to explore the impacts of the massive heatwave that happened in the pacific northwest during June of 2021. If you were in Washington State at the time, especially during the late summer, Mount Rainier was looking extremely bare to the point where it almost looked like it didn’t have any snow on it at all. I thought it would be interesting to quantify the differences on Mount Rainier in 2021 compared to a more typical year.
