Inspiration The United Nations 17 Goals for Sustainable Development provide a roadmap for creating a better and more sustainable future for all. We saw a gap in the traditional crowdfunding models, which lack transparency and accountability. We wanted to build a platform that not only allows for easy and accessible funding for sustainable projects, but also ensures that the funds are used in the intended manner, and creates a sense of community and collaboration towards a common goal.
What Impact Fund does Impact Fund is a blockchain-based crowdfunding platform that connects people with sustainable projects, and allows them to fund these projects in a transparent and secure manner. The platform integrates the 17 Goals for Sustainable Development, ensuring that all projects align with the vision of a better and more sustainable future.
How we built it We built Impact Fund using blockchain technology to provide a secure and transparent platform for transactions. Crowdfunding campaigns are vetted by the community, allowing contributors to make informed decisions and track the progress of their funds. Our platform is designed to be user-friendly and accessible, allowing anyone to contribute and support initiatives they believe in. We used technologies like React JS, Firebase, MetaMask, 5ire, and ThirdWeb.
Challenges we ran into One of the biggest challenges we faced was integrating 5ire Chain. Despite our best efforts, we were unable to make this integration work. Another challenge we faced was to ensure that the platform is user-friendly. .
Accomplishments that we're proud of We are proud to have built a platform that allows individuals to have a direct impact on sustainable development. By making it easy for anyone to contribute and support initiatives, we are helping to empower communities and drive positive change.
What we learned Building a blockchain-based platform is no easy feat, but it is a necessary step in ensuring that crowdfunding initiatives are secure and transparent. We learned that by leveraging technology, we can create a more equitable and sustainable future.
