This scrollytelling data narrative tells the story of the Paris Agreement, a landmark climate change agreement signed by nearly all of the world's nations. It uses data visualizations to first show why the Paris Agreement is a diplomatic achievement in terms of the number of countries ratified and the speed at which they joined. The piece then moves on to explore what impact this agreement will have, if any, on trying to stop the forces of climate change. Users can explore historical greenhouse gas emissions levels by country to see what the trends have been so far. Then they can see what various science models project emissions levels will be under different policy scenarios for the entire world as well as specific regions of interest.
