Inspiration

With the emergence of various apps to track our health status , we don't feel secure as our health information that are supposed to confidential data is stored at various entities and they have the ownership.

Idea of this tool is to showcase the power of decentralized identity as well to feel secure about the health data, as we will be the owner of these data and also we can restrict what claims need to be shared with the respective entities.

What it does

It provides a decentralized way to track our immunity status. As an example we have shown how it could help with COVID vaccination status . But it doesn't need to be restricted within that, we can even think of using this solution for our entire healthcare business workflow

For ex: We can also make use of this tool to prove that you are belonging to specific blood group while donating a blood and can restrict other claims from being shared.

How we built it

• I made use of AzureAppService to deploy Issuer and Verifier application.
• In the Issuer application it generates COVID VC along with first name, last name and Vaccination status
• In the Verifier application , we will enter a theatre and make use of this certificate to prove that a person is fully vaccinated

What if we are already vaccinated and how to get the vaccination status from Hospital?

• We can provide with the PDF that acts as our source of trust with which we can decide on vaccination status that will be issued by trusted authority
• Verifier application should be implemented in places where we need to validate on the vaccination status ( ex: entertainment, grocery shops, university, school etc)
