Inspiration

When Tim study in Stanford, he eats Panda Express everyday. He felt that it is very necessary to eat something different within the same price.

What it does

The project we are going to work on is the new type of shared kitchen. For each shared kitchen location we will provide three different cooking positions. One kitchen is provided to the Mexican kitchen, one is provided to the Japanese kitchen, and one is provided to the Chinese kitchen. On the supplier side, we mainly target small and medium restaurant owners. The reason why we want to choose this customer group is because in the ethical food market, the largest food is Mexican food, the second largest is Chinese food, and the third largest is Japanese food. This shows that more and more immigrants from the three countries mentioned above come to the United States, and many of these immigrant groups cannot find suitable jobs and want to open a restaurant, but if they are a brick-and-mortar store that allows dine in in the early stage will lead to the high investment requirement, so the threshold for people with low income will be relatively high. If we use our shared kitchen, the fixed cost investment will drop by three-half. One of the main points that distinguish us from cloud kitchens is that customers will be more sticky to our restaurant. For example, customers can order a set meal from our store for $15, but this set includes three dishes from different restaurants. Since users are more and more addicted to products, they will consume more time on our platform compared with other traditional restaurant business models, because users will be more inclined to eat buffets, because buffets are characterized by rich categories, and more nutrition is good for health. According to what customers have consumed in our restaurant in the past, our artificial intelligence system will automatically analyze the nutritional structure and automatically generate the best dishes that should be ordered from our store in the next ten days according to the customers' specific health needs.

How we built it

We are going to built it with the engineer from MIT and stanford for the AI recommendation algorithms and i will outsource my APP build to the company from china. I will manage the sales, BD and marketing team by myself at the beginning.

Challenges we ran into

No challenges yet,

Accomplishments that we're proud of

Continuous improvement of the idea by talking with many fancy people during tech-week

What we learned

The successful business idea is mostly originated from implementing some similar business model from another different industry. (2) we need to deeply understand our niche market.

What's next for Immigrants shared kitchen

The next step is that i am going to make it scalable therefore i have to control the food quality and the working process by my own company in order to enhance the brand reputation. After i have enough money through the fund raising, i will invest into our logistic part and standardize our menu.
