The media ecosystem is entering the Immersive Era, where consumers increasingly expect a more interactive and engaging experience.

The prototype introduces a novel “story” format where users can scan their surroundings by phone to create a spherical environment, which can be shared on social media. Within this immersive space, creators can add texts and stickers on different parts of the environment, even make their avatar appear to be in it. While viewers, using VR head set, can explore the scene in 360 degrees and see others’ responses. Users can call out the response menu by pulling the trigger aiming a point on the spherical environment.

The media format is expected to be HDRI 360° spherical image. The file will not be too large and can provide enough immersion.
