iMixer

Inspiration

We were inspired by the ease of use of NEAR, the opportunities for music on the blockchain and the big need to attract millions of people to the platform.

What it does

Create a Music NFT in less than 60 seconds in 3 steps;

Choose or record a loop
Make your Mix
Mint your Music NFT

How we built it

We used HTML5 for the client and PHP for the backend. The music mix information is stored within a NEAR NFT once minted.

Challenges we ran into

Synchronizing JavaScript across multiple browsers and compatibility with most devices including Phones, Mac, Windows, and Chromebooks.

Accomplishments that we're proud of

Having a functional Music NFT fully integrated with NEAR. Recording your own loops using the microphone and being able to share your Music NFT instantly.

What we learned

How user friendly and developer friendly NEAR is. In just a few weeks, our project is complete, start to finish, allowing anyone to create a Music NFT with NEAR.

What's next for iMixer

This iMixer is part of a larger virtual world project we are developing. We are also working with up and coming artists that will bring their loops to the platform and bring users and fans to mix and mint NNFTs. Music loops will have advanced editing features for professionals, and blockchain features such as allowing original creators a cut of the profits when someone else uses their custom loops.
