Origin

I love my mom but often times I forget to call her or let her know how I'm doing. Ever since I moved up to SF my mom is always worried if I get home safely, I wished there was an easier way to let her know without it being too annoying.

Presenting the imHome Button, an internet-connected button that texts my mom when I'm home.

Target Users

Parents suffering through the empty nest syndrome and their children who want to be better sons and daughters.

I wrote a Medium post about an app I built for my mom for Christmas and it got over 10k reads with tons of children emailing me saying they wanted an app for their families.

Bigger Picture

Building technology to make the family happier and closer together. The imHome Button allows kids an easy way to text their parents and I believe the family needs a private safe place to interact and stay in touch.
