Inspiration
We were inspired by a YouTube video, which touched on the idea of Rule of Thirds, and how people don't really take advantage of it.
What it does
Allows people to take better photos, with more emphasis and meaning on the elements of their pictures.
How we built it
We used a regular html/css frontend, alongside Flask for backend. Then, we used an opencv pre-trained model to detect objects which came on the screen. Finally, we determined
Challenges we ran into
Time constraints, we ran out of time very quickly.
Accomplishments that we're proud of
We are proud of our ability to persevere, even though a lot of unfortunate issues came up during the challenge. Even though we did not get the outcome we wanted, we learned a lot about each other and the difficulties of hackathons.
What we learned
We learned a lot about frameworks, fullstack development and machine learning.
What's next for img comp
We hope to upgrade this by providing a more powerful dataset so that the objects in our pictures are predicted more accurately, a more visually appealing front-end, and even more considerations when deciding "the ideal picture".
