Inspiration

There is a gap between University education and the workplaces. Academic classes don't teach the required soft skills and students have to work very hard to learn those skills when they start their career.

Our idea is to build a platform with projects from NGOs to practice and provide students real-world experience. There will be proper guidelines to accomplish learning goals. We will have gamified components to encourage engagement on the platform. This platform will provide the training for the required soft skills and act as a bridge between academics and real-world workplaces.

What it does

The users can choose projects from the available ones and work on them. It will provide them the experience and enhance their technical knowledge. They can build their profile and choose their learning goals. The projects can be divided into various categories and the students can easily search for the required project to work upon. There will be different milestones that can be achieved by the students.

How we built it

We build the UI using Figma and the front-end using HTML, CSS, and JavaScript.

Challenges we ran into

The time constraints were a big challenge. It was a virtual hackathon therefore communicating with team members from different time zones was also something new for all of us. But in the end, we were able to finally overcome these issues and complete our project.

Accomplishments that we're proud of

We finally built a functional prototype.

What we learned

We learned to work as a team and accomplishing tasks at a given deadline.
