Inspiration
Discord lacks a built in way to easily find images.
What it does
Tags images sent in a discord channel using gemma4:12b (Ollama vision model) then stores them in a vector database to allow users to search for them based on tags.
How we built it
Built entirely in python, some of the database logic was developed by Claude.
Challenges we ran into
Hitting token limits for large images and AI models not accurately tagging images.
Accomplishments that we're proud of
First time entering a Hackaton.
What we learned
Ai image tagging and storage for later lookup.
What's next for ImageSearchBot
Ability for server owners to easily change the model used for tagging and ability to set a new database per channel instead of per server.
