Inspiration
Every summer, a member of the team wanted to record how many times did he take slushy drinks. However, he didn't findn an optimal solution to register this, until we created it!
What it does
Anyone can record via photos, in a two-step process, your beloved routines and activites in order to know how many of them have you done, and also add details about each occasion.
How we built it
We used Android Studio to build the application. Besides, we based it over the CameraX library.
Challenges we ran into
We had to learn many concepts about app development, as we were not that experienced before this project. Also, we learnt how to deal with a tight schedule and deadline.
Accomplishments that we're proud of
We've been able to develop a simple but practical interface, which leads into a good user experience. Also, we achieved getting into the main goals regarding to the app functionalities, such as adding text frames to the images, grouping pictures in albums, etc.
What we learned
We learnt and improved teamworking, managing quick and from-scratch projects, and many technologies and functionalities regarding Android and its ecosystem, and we loved it!
What's next for ImageJournal
In the future, ImageJournal will be able of sharing pictures amoung your beloved ones, adding your gallery images, having advanced camera settings (such as HDR+, and more!), and also becoming a social network, through which anyone will be able to know people whose interests are similar to theirs.
