Inspiration
We wanted to create a software that offers accessibility for people with disability. Blindness is a severe disability that we decided to face.
What it does
Given an image in PNG, JPG, JPEG, or WEBP, the software converts it to a .txt file with official unicode braille characters ready for braille printers.
How we built it
Splitting up the job into smaller functions, we were able to collaborate and work on the project efficiently.
Challenges we ran into
Maintaining quality of images, using different softwares for coding, deciding a medium for the final project (software, website, or chrome extension)
Accomplishments that we're proud of
A software that works!
What we learned
Aside from Python coding and how to use software: debugging more efficiently, project planning and management, teamwork, splitting up work effectively, consistent coding format (especially since this was a collaborative project).
Built With
- pyinstaller
- python
- spyder
