Image to Frame

Inspiration

Frames are a highly creative and essential component of Canva. The variety of frames available on Canva through search is still quite limited. So, I thought, why not allow everyone to import frames from external sources or simply help them convert images into desired frames? Then, create a repository of frames and generate ideas to assist users in being creative and playful with Canva Frames in a straightforward manner.

What it does

Image to Frames currently has three major features:

• Converting images to Canva frames
• Converting SVG shapes to Canva Frames
• Using frames directly from our store ## How we built it We have built Image to Frames using the Canva SDK, integrating with various Canva APIs to create Frames. ## Challenges we ran into We have encountered many challenges in building the process of converting an image into frames due to the complex technical specifications and numerous rules of Canva Frames. ## Accomplishments that we're proud of Successfully published the Image to Frames application and built a frames store with over 1000 frames up to the current time. ## What we learned Learning how to navigate the complexity of the rules on Canva Frames is essential for understanding the conversion process. ## What's next We still have a lot of work to do, such as upgrading the algorithm to increase accuracy, supporting more complex images, and developing additional features related to the frame store.
