Inspiration
My inspiration comes from the artists who draw sketches. So i thought that why not i develop something which people use to enhance their images/documents.
What it does
This web app allows users to enhance their images/documents. Users need to upload the image and can select any of the four filter and will get a best quality enhanced image. It can be used by the people who work in offices, schools and even for the people who need a sketch drawing of themselves! Users can upload their own image and choose the black and white filter which will give them a good quality pencil sketch of them.
How I built it
I built it using the language python and streamlit. It was a difficult task as a lot of testing with multiple types of images was involved.
Challenges I ran into
I learnt how to integrate streamlit and python. Then i learnt how an image in computer is display and how can i experiment with it. Then after hours of testing and rewriting of code, I finally got what i wanted.
Accomplishments that I'm proud of
Iam proud that i was able to expand my existing knowledge and it was fun to learn computer graphics. I think i have made a valuable product and a contribution to the society. My app can be helpful to many people.
What I learned
I learned a lot about computer graphics and web development. Experimenting with image is a very difficult task as a lot of math behind it is involved. Iam glad that i was able to pull of this app all by myself within a given short period of time.
What's next for Image Enhancing Web App
Making this web app was pretty fun and an hectic task too. I will be updating it and will be adding more features into it.Also i will be making an android version of it.
a short note
I would like the judges to try the black and white effect filter on their photos as it gives a quite nice pencil sketch effect. I have provided a working link of the web app in my github repo, check it out. Also due to some issue with my mic i was not able to record my audio in the demo video, but i think every step is pretty much clear in the video.
