The current data indicates around 64,851 people go missing every month. And our research made it clear that it is impossible to find them all due to a variety of reasons. Moreover, this problem needs attention also a better and innovative solution using current AI technology.
Our project is used to compare two images and give output whether there's a match or not. If an individual is found isolated or new to the surroundings, people can take a step and upload their image to our app/webpage. our webpage will contain a database of people who have gone missing in the past. therefore, the image and the database are compared by taking the features of these images as criteria and giving the output.
We used the Jupyter Notebook platform to code. In this project, we have used the CNN-VGG16 model (deep learning model ) to perform a comparison.
Time constraint was one of the major challenges and to get the code right.
We are proud that we were able to challenge ourselves and submit the result.
Teamwork and patience are what we learned throughout the event.
This was just a basic work, would love to take this project to a higher level where it is used for the beneficial of the country and people.
